Wine ConneXtion will be a hosting a new series of private ½ hour wine tastings from 11:30am to 4:00pm on Saturdays during the month of April. We have selected some of the industry’s best wines; this is a can’t-miss opportunity to try “New Finds 94 Points & Above.”
Tickets for these exclusive, private tastings are $25.00 per person. Times are limited so be sure to reserve your time as soon as possible. To reserve your private tasting time slot, you need to call our store at 877-469-5025. Available times are shown in the table at the bottom of this page.
In an effort to stay safe, these tastings are limited to a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4 people per half hour in our tasting room that is located off of the main store floor. To ensure your experience is as safe as possible, social distancing precautions will be taken and you are encouraged to bring your own wine tasting glass. However a sanitized glass will be provided for you if you choose not to bring your own.

There are so much essence-like fruits on the nose of this Cabernet Franc, from blackberry perfume and dark-cherry compote to fresher elements of rosemary, lavender, hot stones and citrus. Full body with generous fruit, but the firm and beautifully woven tannin backbone keeps the palate fine and elegant. Very long on the finish.
Refined and complex, with intense fruit notes, the nose reveals wild strawberry, cherry and blackcurrant aromas mingled with delicate notes of vanilla. Excellent attack on the palette with a concentration and balanced acidity, on silky and refined tannins. The wine goes on to reveal its distinctiveness and aromatic complexity on ripe black fruit and Morello cherry Flavors followed by notes of vanilla, mocha and toasted hazelnuts on the finish, demonstrating all the power and complexity of Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s selection of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
Vanilla, sour cherry, wild strawberry, a very clean floral effect. In the mouth substantial but smooth. Very expressive fruit with more complex aromatic elements of undergrowth, myrtle and oriental spices… Unexpectedly transforms into a champion of drinkable red wine with marked savory flavor and a tasting profile produced by a ferrous touch, rhubarb and very evident black pepper.
The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva will thrill Sangiovese lovers. Ample and expressive in the glass, with tremendous nuance, the Riserva is simply exceptional in 2016. Black cherry, plum, leather, tobacco, incense, menthol and licorice bring out the darker side of Sangiovese. I would give the tannins a few years to soften. The 2016 is very clearly a special wine in the making.
Ripened cherry red with ruby reflections. Clean and brilliant. On the nose there is good intensity with black fruits and spice notes bringing expression and complexity. There is a lively entrance, with medium structure and good balance. Notes of little black fruits, sweet spices such as cinnamon, a fresh touch of thyme and eucalyptus as well as a toffee and cacao background bringing complexity. The fresh and smooth tannin as well as the acidity make this wine long and expressive, fresh and elegant.
Black cherry and black currant generously welcome the nose and reward the palate with a plush texture and fresh acidity. Dark fruit and graphite, along with tobacco, cinnamon, star anise, and dark cocoa flavors await you with a seductive finish that lasts for an eternity.
This is the first vintage of the Australian producer’s foray into Napa Valley. It is tightly structured yet supple, bursting in bright currant and strawberry flavors. Savory components of sage, dried herb and black pepper dot the palate alongside silky tannins and chocolate-laced richness. A fresh touch of blood orange arises on the finish.
Steeped raspberry, plum and black cherry fruit flavors are held together with finely beaded acidity, while black tea and dried anise hints add range and nuance, showing latent depth and length. This grows on you. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. Drink now through 2032.
