Great wines often come with great stories.  The wines we choose to present in our complimentary “Wine Stations” sampling machines all have stories to tell.  Check out these two new wines and remember, you always get to “Try before you buy.”

Honoro Vera Rose’ of Tempranillo & Syrah:  From the very first sip of this splendid rose’, you can taste the quality in this wine.  Here’s the reason why:  Honoro Vera is yet another vineyard in the JUAN GIL FAMILY ESTATES.  We love their wines for quality, and are always amazed at the value; this rose’ is no exception.  This wine is a blend of Tempranillo and Syrah. It was made using a combination of direct pressing and the saignée method and vinified in stainless steel tanks.  The harsh growing climate in Jumilla, Spain, produces grapes with extraordinary and intense flavor, so even in its rose’ style, this wine has bold and complex flavor notes.  The perfect rose’ to toast the end of Summer, and stand up to Fall’s arrival.

m2 Wines, “Purple Squirrel” Zinfandel:    He’s done it again!  Layne Montgomery, winemaker and owner of m2 Wines, brought us “Purple Squirrel” Cabernet to kickoff Summer, and now he’s made a Zinfandel from the same vineyard.  Much like its cousin the Cab, the vines for this Zin are relatively young- but, because of Layne’s incredible winemaking skills, he still manages to bring forth a subtle smokiness and a bit of spice on the finish.  In Layne’s own words, “This wine has become my every day ‘go to’ glass.”  Don’t forget:  SAVE THE DATE!  Layne will be making a special guest appearance at Wine ConneXtion on Saturday, October 20th, 1:00PM-5:00PM.
