Great wines often come with great stories.  The wines we choose to present in our complimentary “Wine Stations” sampling machines all have stories to tell.  Check out these two, and remember, you always get to “Try before you buy.”

Shannon Ridge, “Urgency” Pinot Noir:  Even before the URGENCY vineyard was planted, winemaker, Clay Shannon’s instincts told him that the blend of volcanic soils would produce full, rich flavors and the long, warm summer days would ripen the grapes perfectly. This special piece of dirt creates wines that do not require long aging, the lush flavors show well upon their release.

Sokol Blosser, “E (Evolution)” White Blend:  1970 was winding down when founders, Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser pulled their ’68 VW Camper up to an abandoned prune orchard some 30 miles southwest of Portland. These moonstruck kids had little farming experience and just a basic knowledge of winemaking. What they did have, in abundance, was a passion for growing  and creating world-class wine. Soon after settling on this extraordinary land, they planted their first vines and cinched their place as pioneers in Oregon’s budding wine industry.
